Dian Hong, also called "Yunnan Black ", is a Chinese famous black tea which used as a relatively high end black tea. The main difference between Dian hong and other Chinese black teas is the amount of fine leaf buds, or "golden tips," present in the dried tea. Dian hong teas produces a brew that is brassy golden orange in colour with a sweet, gentle aroma and no astringency.
Tea is made from a leaf of one of the local varieties of the tea bush.
This variety is distinguished by large tips and a large sheet with a yellow-colored tip. Tea buds are not subjected to significant treatment. The quality of tea is determined by the ratio of golden buds and tea leaves.
Yunnan Tea successfully combines a refined aroma with infusion, rich and full of taste. The finished red tea has a magnificent brown-golden tint.
It smells of walnut, almonds and honey pollen at the same time. Unlike the shrill-tart taste of Indian Darjeeling and Assam, Dian Hun has a balanced sweet-saturated and at the same time soft taste.
